Rollplast proudly announces the significant recognition received by our owner and CEO, Svetlin Nikolchev. On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Mr. Nikolchev was a special guest at the premiere of the Encyclopedia "Prominent Financiers, Managers and Business Leaders – Lecturers and Alumni of UNWE (1920 – 2024)". Inclusion in this elite publication is a testament to Mr. Nikolchev's exceptional contribution to the development of Bulgarian industry and entrepreneurship.

From the UNWE Lecture Halls to an Industrial Leader
Svetlin Nikolchev was born on January 20, 1974, in Kyustendil. He graduated from UNWE with a degree in "Economics and Industrial Management" (1996). While still a student, he learned the craft of manufacturing and installing roller blinds, which provided him with his primary income. He dedicated almost his entire professional career to the sector related to the manufacturing and installation of blinds, doors, and windows. In 1999, Nikolchev founded his first company – ET "Vanis", which in 2000 remained with a single name – "Rollplast". A key moment in the company's development was Mr. Nikolchev's strategic decision to proceed with the massive investment in the new Kostinbrod plant, initially valued at BGN 72 million, later increasing to BGN 120 million. This decision positioned the company as a leading manufacturer.
Technological Superiority and Industry Innovations
Under the leadership of Svetlin Nikolchev, Rollplast established itself as a technological leader, implementing the principles of Industry 4.0 and the LEAN system in its production processes. The company introduced a number of industry innovations that distinguish it from the competition:
· Industrial production by combining PVC roller blinds with aluminum consoles (2001).
· Introduction of 70 mm profiles for PVC windows (2005).
· Imposing the low-emissivity K-glass four years before it became legally mandatory (2005).
· Production of triple (2009) and quadruple glazing (since 2018).
As a result of its expansion and market growth into Serbia, Greece, and North Macedonia, Rollplast is ranked among the ten largest manufacturers in Europe – an unprecedented success for a Bulgarian company. Currently, Rollplast's revenues exceed BGN 100 million, with an export share of over 30%.
Investment in Knowledge and the Future

This recognition comes on the heels of a signed Memorandum of Cooperation between Rollplast and UNWE. Through it, the company will actively collaborate with the University on:
· Developing internship programs.
· Conducting joint training sessions and lectures.
· Implementing innovations and knowledge in the industrial sector.
Mr. Nikolchev has always valued education as a key success factor and often links business innovations to the knowledge gained during his studies at UNWE: "That's what the textbooks say". Mr. Nikolchev's inclusion in this prestigious Encyclopedia and the signed Memorandum of Cooperation between Rollplast and UNWE are not merely recognition of past success, but a commitment to the future. These steps confirm the vision that sustainable development and industry leadership are achieved through a symbiosis between proven business experience and the best academic education. Rollplast continues to be a company that not only creates products for the home but also invests in the intellectual potential of Bulgaria.
