On October 2nd, the modern conference hall of Rollplast turned into a hub of economic thought during the first-of-its-kind "Industrial Development Forum – Kostinbrod, 2025". The event, organized by the Municipality of Kostinbrod and the business media LIDER.bg, brought together representatives of local and central authorities, diplomats, executives of leading companies, and the academic community to outline the future of the region as an attractive investment destination.
In his speech, the Mayor of Kostinbrod Municipality, Mr. Traycho Mladenov, highlighted the highly favorable business climate in the region. He proudly presented Rollplast as a three-time winner of the prestigious "Class A Investor" award, pointing out the company as a brilliant example of a socially responsible investor. "The good relations and the support we receive from companies like Rollplast are the driving force behind our common success," the Mayor added.
A key highlight of the program was the presentation by Ms. Mila Nenova, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency. She addressed the attendees, many of whom were potential investors from Turkey, presenting concrete investment opportunities in the country, the advantages of the tax system, and the incentives offered by the state.
A strong message about the close link between education and business was also delivered by the Rector of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). He emphasized the university's excellent partnership with Rollplast in dual education programs and student internships, which prepare qualified personnel for the real economy.
As the host, Rollplast, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, presented its growth story – from a small firm to a company with over 500 employees, a production base of 40,000 sq.m., investments exceeding 120 million BGN, and exports to 7 continents.
The forum concluded with a general consensus that Kostinbrod is confidently moving along the path of sustainable development, based on innovation, synergy between local government, education, and business, and a clear vision for the future.
